What is upvc and why is it used for patio doors?

Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride is the full name of upvc. It is used for patio doors because it has certain characteristics that are ideal for outdoor use. These are its weatherproofing properties, its waterproofing properties, and its being low-maintenance as patio doors.
